“a voice of milk, sex and honey”

Rebecca is a versatile and talented performer. She is best known as the receptionist Amy Howard on CASUALTY, and has appeared on many television programs acting, presenting and singing. She has recorded two top ten singles, EVERLASTING LOVE and STAY WITH ME BABY and the album, WHERE TIME STANDS STILL. She has enjoyed singing live in venues as magnificent as The Opera House, Belfast and The Royal Albert Hall as well as many TV programs including TOP OF THE POPS and the NATIONAL LOTTERY. Rebecca’s’ bubbly personality and zest for life has enlivened shows like LOOSE WOMEN where she was a regular presenter as well as countless celebrity appearances, her favourites being THIS MORNING, CALL MY BLUFF and CELEBRITY READY STEADY COOK. Rebecca has also toured the country with the comedy MUMS THE WORD, starred in the west end musicals FAME and BAD GIRLS THE MUSICAL, performed with Julia Mackenzie and Liz Robertson as the Gimmick Girls in GYPSY and even survived pantomime with Paul O Grady as LILY SAVAGE at the Victoria Palace. Rebecca’s’ first love is singing, Although classically trained she has concentrated on the smokier side of the business. She has performed cabaret all over the West End starting at the CAFÉ ROYAL at an early age and as a regular artiste at PIZZA ON THE PARK. She has an extensive jazz and blues repertoire performing with her fantastic four piece band or simply piano and voice. Her show BALLSY BLUES AND BALLADS was a sell out, combining the raunchy with the heartbreaking. Her next show THE BAWDY HOUSE provided a raucous evening of naughty songs. ‘Never has good clean fun been so downright dirty’. Eight years ago Rebecca completely changed shape, having lost half her body weight through diet and exercise. Her 12 stone loss prompted a top ten fitness DVD, THE NEW ME. Since her dramatic transformation Rebecca has been asked to write for women’s magazines, was online diet columnist for Closer and has a broad base of people who contact her personally for diet advice. She has writing a book, HALF, as yet to be published, telling her amazing weight loss story. Recently she completed the number one tour of the show GIRL’S NIGHT. An all singing and dancing celebration of sisterhood with Gillian Taylforth and her real life sister Kim amongst others. Rebecca also gave the nation a rare opportunity to enjoy her underwear in the sell out national tour of the play BIG PANTS AND BOTOX which ended with a short run at The Arts theatre in The West End….one woman. one big pair of pants! In complete contrast she then took up her axe as the iconic character Annie Wilkes in Stephen Kings’ MISERY and found playing a serial killer both enjoyable and cathartic. She has just finished touring in the Nell Dunn comedy STEAMING as Dawn and is looking forward to a break with the family before taking on new projects. Rebecca is a truly individual character who brings life and energy to everything she does, and it is her passionate irreverence that makes her such a popular live entertainer, actress and engaging writer. She lives very happily in Brighton with her very handsome husband and son.
